The Ochoro Foundation

Participants are emerging leaders — athletes, coaches, educators, and community organizers — who are committed to advancing youth empowerment, sports excellence, and values-based leadership. Together, they forge communities rooted in integrity, teamwork, and inclusivity, where all people can belong, participate, and thrive.

The program launches in Africa, with plans to expand regionally and globally. We recognize the power of bringing together diverse cohorts of leaders from different backgrounds, each with their own approach and focus, united by a commitment to building a network of changemakers in sports and leadership.

Inspired by principles of resilience, service, and teamwork, the program engages participants in the challenges and opportunities of driving social change through sports. They take part in full group sessions on leadership and sports governance, small group discussions to share experiences and strategies, and individualized coaching to strengthen their personal leadership journeys. Through this process, participants define a values-based foundation for sustained leadership, cultivate relationships that catalyze inclusive change, and prepare to engage with issues at the systems level — from grassroots sports development to national policy.

Upon completion of the program, Leaders will gain a deeper understanding of how values-based leadership advances their work in sports and community development. They will be inspired to take further action, propelled by new ideas and skills. Most importantly, they will join the Ronny Ochoro Leadership Network, a growing alumni community of changemakers dedicated to youth empowerment and sports leadership across Africa.
